Who doesn’t crave french fries? They are hot, crispy and salty. However, they also aren’t healthy. Check out this SunshineFIT Meatless Monday recipe that will satisfy your french fry craving! Great for kids too!
1 Potato sliced in strips (I do one potato per person, so adjust accordingly)
1 tblspoon of Olive Oil
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
2. Place cut potatoes into a bowl and add olive oil, a dash or salt, and pepper. Stir with hands to coat.
3. Cook potatoes for about 15-20 minutes, use spatula to turn them in pan every five minutes or so. Should be fork tender. Once they are tender and cooked through turn oven to BROIL. Pay attention! Broil until browned and crisp!
3 Dipping Sauces
Ketchup and Siraichi: This one is super easy and spicy! Simply mix half ketchup and half siraichi together and serve.
Blended Grain Mustard: This is simply a blend of a grain mustard with grey poupon.
Spicy Ranch: Mix together 1/4 cup of veganaise (or sour cream), 1/4 teaspoon of onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder, dash of salt, dash of pepper, dash of dillweed (chopped), pinch of red pepper flakes, pinch of chipotle seasoning.
